The question that we are asked the most: How can I compare the cost of 3D printing versus traditional construction?

There are many factors that can influence the cost of both traditional construction and 3D concrete printing. To begin to make a comparison, you’ll need the following:

  • Location of where you intend to build so that you are aware of all jurisdiction regulations

  • Floor plan and elevations of the home you intend to build

  • Soil test and lab results with an engineered foundation for concrete and for comparison, a foundation for traditional — the foundation for the concrete home will be more expensive than for traditional construction because of the weight factor of the concrete

  • Structural engineering for wall designs (we can assist here)

  • Interior furnishings (lights, faucets, tubs, etc) are not needed for comparison purposes because those will be the same regardless of the type of construction

Once you have this information, we can make ourselves available through our Consulting Department to assist you in formulating the cost comparison.
